Liverpool have not may any approach for Diego Forlan, according to the Villarreal striker's agent.
Rafael Benitez has been linked with a move for the Uruguayan hitman, who has been one of the leading goalscorers in Spain for the past three seasons following his move from Manchester United.
The Reds boss has reportedly turned to Forlan after being priced out of moves for Barcelona's Samuel Eto'o and Carlos Tevez of West Ham.
However, Forlan's agent Daniel Bolotnicoff claims he has not received any offers from Liverpool.
"There has not been any offer from Liverpool and it's very difficult to talk about what might happen when there isn't an offer there, but things can change every day," he told The Times.
"If he received a very good offer then he will think about it, but it will also depend on whether Villarreal are happy."
Forlan netted just 17 times in 95 appearances in England, but has been more prolific in La Liga where he has bagged 53 goals in 103 games.
The 28-year-old former Independiente striker has also been linked with a summer move to Premier League new boys Sunderland.
