Peter Crouch believes the variety in Liverpool's strike force this season will strengthen the club's quest to land the elusive Premier League title.
The Reds have brought in the likes of Fernando Torres, Ryan Babel and Andrei Voronin this summer while Welsh firebrand Craig Bellamy has departed.
Crouch believes with each striker possessing different attributes and skills the lack of direct competition for places will be beneficial for all.
The former Aston Villa and Southampton hit-man is now looking for Liverpool to hit the new season running in a bid to claim their first Premier League title.
"What is good is that I think that any of the strikers can play with each other," stated Crouch. "There's no direct competition between any of us, we can play together.
"I think it will be crucial how the strikers combine but we've certainly got a mixture of pace and aerial ability with the new players and that is obviously good for the club.
"We need to start the Premier League well. The other teams have been so consistent we need everybody to gel together and we need to start well so it's important."
